About the Journal

The international scientific journal "International Journal of Montology Studies" has been published since 2026.

The journal is a peer-reviewed academic publication that presents current research in the fields of montology, mountain territories, natural and socio-economic processes, sustainable development, as well as interdisciplinary areas related to the study of mountain regions.

The journal accepts original research articles, review papers, and scientific-practical studies prepared by scholars, researchers, university professors, doctoral candidates, PhD students, and master’s students.

Publication of articles in the journal is free of charge. Authors are not required to pay editorial, peer-review, or publication fees. No author royalties are paid for published materials.

The journal publishes articles in Russian and English.

Publication frequency: 2 issues per year (special issues may be published when necessary).

All submitted manuscripts undergo mandatory peer review and editorial evaluation. Metadata of published materials are registered in international scholarly identification systems, and each article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) — a unique digital identifier that ensures reliable citation, searchability, and access to scientific publications.
